Titan Air Cooled Heat Pumps by Aqua Logic® are designed for a wide range of applications, including public aquariums, aquaculture facilities, government or university research institutions, and hydroponics operations. All units are suitable for outdoor installation, but should be protected from direct weather. Titan heat pumps up to 5 hp have a special "Spine Fin" condenser coil, which has proven to have superior heat transfer performance and capacity over traditional radially finned heat exchangers. This style condenser also has a much greater resistance to corrosion in harsh environments, such as moist salty air or chemically tainted rainwater.
In the cooling mode, the Titan heat pump works as a chiller, cooling water to the temperature you select. In the heating mode, it works with the liquid refrigerant (Freon™) flowing in reverse. The refrigerant absorbs heat from the air as it moves through the condenser, becoming a gas as it warms. This gas is then compressed by the compressor, which causes the heat carried by the Freon™ to be released into the titanium heat exchanger and transferred into the circulated water.

These Titan heat pump models feature titanium helix coils and powder-coated shrouds. The 2-10 hp models include 2" PVC slip, in and out fittings and 3" PVC slip fittings on larger units. 230V models listed above, but 460V models are also available.

The dual stage digital temperature controller on these Titan heat pump models is enclosed in a NEMA4X enclosure with easy push button programming, and it will maintain water temperatures in the range from 40° to 85°F (4 to 29°C). You must specify desired temperature operating range when ordering. Units will lose heating efficiently when air temperature is under 40°F (4°C). Please note the min/max flow requirements when ordering (water pump not included). The controller can display in either °F or °C and will maintain the water within 1 degree of the set point. Water pressure should not exceed 40 psi.
Allow a 4-week build time. Titan heat pumps ship from the factory via motor freight. Models include a one-year warranty.
