Pentair AES carries a complete range of water aerator equipment for aquaculture, hatchery, pond, and water treatment applications. Proper aeration is one of the most important factors in fish health, directly affecting growth rates and disease resistance. Our aeration systems include air pumps, regenerative blowers, compressors, air diffusers, surface aerators, and oxygenation equipment sized for operations ranging from small research tanks to large-scale commercial production.
Choosing the right aeration system depends on your water volume, species requirements, stocking density, and facility layout. Here is an overview of the equipment categories available:
Air diffusers release air or oxygen into the water column as fine or coarse bubbles. Sweetwater glass-bonded silica diffusers are machined from a solid block of glass-bonded silica, produce a uniform medium/fine bubble, and have an air resistance of less than 0.25 psi — making them compatible with economical low-pressure blowers. Because dust and dirt particles up to 30 microns pass through freely, no air filter is required. Point Four micro bubble diffusers, EDI Flexair diffusers, Sweetwater Generation II diffusers, and coarse bubble diffusers are also available for a range of flow rates and tank sizes.
Surface aerators work at the water surface to transfer oxygen through agitation. Options include Kasco surface aerators, paddlewheel aerators for ponds and raceways, Kasco floating fountains, and aerating fountains.
Bait aerators help keep fish in bait buckets, hauling tanks, and live wells in good health.
Air pumps drive air through diffusers and other distribution equipment. Choose from Sweetwater linear diaphragm pumps, linear piston pumps, high flow/high pressure linear diaphragm pumps, outdoor-rated pumps, Silent Air Pumps, and 12V models for portable or backup applications.
Regenerative blowers move high volumes of air at low pressure with minimal noise. Sweetwater regenerative blowers range from 0.125 HP to 11.5 HP, deliver oil-free air, carry a 3-year warranty, and have only one moving part — a dynamically balanced impeller that requires no lubrication or seals. Whitewater regenerative blowers are also available.
Air compressors deliver higher-pressure air for deep tank aeration, long distribution runs, and systems that require more force to push air through diffusers. We carry rocking piston, rotary vane, and diaphragm compressors.
Deicing systems prevent ice formation on ponds and lakes during cold months, keeping the water surface open for gas exchange and protecting fish from toxic gas buildup under ice.
Oxygen and ozone equipment includes oxygen generators, contact cones, flow meters, check valves, and related accessories for systems that require supplemental oxygen or ozone treatment beyond what air-based aeration can provide.
