Expansion plugs are suitable for all low- and medium-pressure water applications. A simple twist of the wingnut will produce a watertight seal. The 11/2”, 2” and 3” plugs fit the end of pipes only. The 4”, 6” and 8” plugs can also be inserted into the pipe.
An expansion plug creates a quick, watertight seal in low- to medium-pressure water systems, making it useful for maintenance, system reconfiguration, or temporary shutdowns. A simple twist of the wingnut expands the rubber plug body, sealing the pipe end or internal pipe bore without glue or special fittings.
Smaller sizes (1½″–3″) seal pipe ends only, while larger sizes (4″–8″) are also suitable for insertion into larger bores. These plugs are commonly used when isolating sections of plumbing, checking for leaks, or temporarily closing unused lines during system upgrades.
