Farming Reimagined: Urban Organics 

Pentair Aquatic Eco-Systems and the Urban Organics team partnered together to develop the Hamm's Brewery project, which is a year round indoor aquaponics facility for organic fish and greens production. With PAES expertise and equipment backing the endeavor, the six-story urban building will eventually house eighteen 3,500-gallon fish tanks and generate more than 1,000,000 pounds of produce per year in St. Paul, Minnesota, which has previously been thought of as a food desert.

On April 10th, 2014, we helped open the doors during the ribbon cutting of the indoor farm in St. Paul, Minnesota, introducing the recirculated method of farming to produce these nutrient rich veggies. Aquaponics is a symbiotic relationship between fish and plants, where the water from the fish tanks is used to grow the plants and vegetables, furthermore the plants purifying the water and it is then recirculated back into the fish tanks.
